Keith Perry - Head Coach Laney High School

Keith Perry is originally from Albany, New York where he discovered the sport of lacrosse as an early teen and played attack and long-stick midfield for his high school lacrosse team. Keith also competed on a travel AAU swim team at an early age through high school. In 1994 and 1995 he was selected to represent the Adirondack Region Water Polo team that competed in the New York Empire State Games.  

Keith attended Siena College in Loudonville, NY where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree. Upon graduation in 1994 he worked as a research chemist at SI Group in Schenectady, NY until moving to Wilmington, NC where he began teaching chemistry at Laney High School in 2003.

While at Laney he helped establish a Women’s Lacrosse team and was the assistant coach from 2004-2015 under Beau McCaffray. Keith currently teaches Chemistry and Advanced Placement Chemistry at Laney High School and enjoys promoting an interest in the field of science and technology. Keith is the Head Coach for Women’s Lacrosse and assistant swim coach at Laney and is recognized as a Certified Interscholastic Coach. His interests include running, weight training and coaching sports at all levels.
